Who will be the Worlds First Trillionaire?
Who will be the Worlds First Trillionaire?
Trillionaire; a harsh word yet the ambition of
millions. Everyone dreams of having an account credit similar to their phone
number. Yet there are few (in terms of the world population) that get fulfill
this dream. Having wealth greater than 1000 billion dollars, or in any other
currency, is called a trillionaire. You may as well say that this person has
immeasurable wealth. Anyone may gain this wealth through any source such as self-earned
through various businesses or an inheritance.
Who is the richest man alive?
Though luck may play a part in some people's stories, there
is no success, such as Microsoft and Tesla's one without hard work. Another one
of these lucky and hardworking individuals is Jeff Bezos. He is an American
entrepreneur who made the world of e-commerce into the world it is today. We
can very well say that Jeff Bezos is the richest man alive on earth as of 2020.
Who is Jeff Bezos, and what does he do?
Jeffery Preston Bezos was born in Albuquerque, New
Mexico, US, in 1964. As of 2020, he is 56 years old. An alumnus of Princeton
University, Jeff Bezos is the founder and CEO of Amazon and Blue Origin. He
changed the route of the world with his company affecting all e-commerce and
related niches. His innovative and modern thinking allowed him to reach heights
only a few have seen.
Amazon started as a small online bookstore, but now it
is the world's biggest e-store. The company allows small-medium and
medium-large businesses to sell products and expand. Workers deliver books,
electronics, fashion accessories, and grocery items to people's doorsteps. Now,
Amazon deals in everything one could think of, like kitchen supplies,
electronics, accessories, books, and many more.
Billionaire at 35!
Remember the story of the guy who took a 250,000 dollars' loan from his parents and opened a bookstore in his rented house garage? No?
Well, maybe you did, maybe you didn't, but that is how Jeff Bezos started
Amazon.
Fun Fact: Did you know
that initially, Amazon was called Cadabra? The name Cadabra was later changed
for the ease of people and not to mistake it for Cadavra.
Jeff Bezos took a loan from his parents of 250,000
dollars in 1995 to invest in an idea which he knew the risks of very well. He
beforehand had mentioned to his parents how all the money could drown, but some
resources say that his parents had full trust in him and did not doubt his
capabilities. In only two months, Amazon provided service to all 50 states of
America and over 45 countries worldwide.
Bezos never intended to stick to the book he was
selling online and had always planned to expand. Ten years later, Amazon became
the most prominent online store in the world. Being particularly smart, the
entrepreneur sold shares and continuously expanded. What catapulted Amazon from
millionaire status to billionaire was his expansion to the electronics and
household industry, which expanded his market immensely. By 1999, Jeffery Bezos was 35 years old and undoubtedly a billionaire.
Our Other Businessmen!
Next in the queue is our brand icon and face, Bernard Arnault. He is the chairman and
CEO of Louis Vuitton, which is the world's biggest fashion brand in the entire
world. He crossed Gates in 2019, and Arnault has a net worth of $152.2 billion as
of 2020. Bernard Arnault became a
billionaire in July 1988.
Let's talk about our other billionaires. Coming in
third place, we have Elon Musk, the
proud owner of Tesla and CEO of SpaceX. Musk is a business magnate and is the
CEO of several businesses and companies. Elon has a net worth of $147.8 billion
and is going up the ladder each day. Elon
Musk became a billionaire at 41 years of age, in October 2002.
The next one on our list is one and only Bill Gates. William Henry Gates III has
a net worth of $120 billion. This amount is the estimated amount after
calculating the literal billions Gates spends on charity. This owner of
Microsoft is undoubtedly the most charitable billionaire here! Gates became a billionaire at 31 years of
age and was the youngest American billionaire for many years.
But a Trillionaire?
Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla, Bill Gates,
Co-founder of Microsoft, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook, and Bernard Arnault,
Chairman, and CEO of LVMH, are all billionaires and filthy rich. But why do we
hear the statement that 'By 2026, Jeff Bezos will be the world's first-ever
Trillionaire"?
For the past five years, statistics show that Amazon
has grown steadily by 34 percent each year. In only 2020, Bezos increased his
fortune by $74 billion. For many companies, the pandemic proved to be
disastrous and practically caused millions to go bankrupt and lose jobs. But
the opposite was for Amazon.
But to say that the coronavirus had made Amazon the
biggest to be ever seen by the world would be unfair. Even before, spectators
could see that Amazon has had a very rapid and steady growth throughout the
years; Amazon is barely 30 years old, surpassed all others this decade. And
what made this all happen was an innovation. Bezos introduced innovative
technology and electronics to the Amazon catalog, which practically threw him
into success.
In 2019, Amazon had a net worth of $1.7 trillion,
trailing the one and only Apple. But we are not talking about companies right
now. We are talking about individuals. And Jeff Bezos is 50 billion more prosperous
than the second wealthiest man that is Bill gates. Arguably, Gates could have
surpassed his rival, yet his wealth kept at a humbler place due to his charitable
personality.
Jeff Bezos has a
net worth of $185.8 Billion US
Dollars. This amount is the estimated value of Bezos in 2020. Even though
he lost 38 billion in a recent messy divorce, he still the richest person on
the planet. Many have speculated that by 2026, he might become the first-ever Trillionaire.
But do not think that Amazon is Bezos's only source of income; Instead, he has
a multitude of companies under him such as;
·
Amazon
·
Kindle
·
Twitch
·
Alexa
·
IMDB
·
BEZOS EXPEDITIONS
·
Blue Origin
And many more.
As Bezos's net worth rises, so do his haters!
Many people have an issue with Bezos and Amazon's work
policy. There have been many protests and arguments of Amazon employees who had
to keep working even in the pandemic. More or less, there are 1.2 million
employees under Amazon, all of which had something to say when they heard they
had to continue working under perilous conditions.
It is merely
speculation.
The bottom line is that it is all 'assumed' and not assured that Jeff Bezos will become a trillionaire by 2026. We should consider that there is a chance that Bezos could very well not become the first Trillionaire. The world of e-commerce and business is a brutal one, and there are always new innovative discoveries and products coming up on the market. It could be that within five years, a new company emerges that leaves all others behind. Or that Zuckerberg and Gates make another breakthrough. But on the other side, there is a possibility that Jeff Bezos becomes a Trillionaire even faster than anyone could think. The possibilities are endless, and time continually changes for all. What we can do is sit tight and watch where these business magnates lead themselves and the world.
