Sad Reality of Pakistani Education System Vs European Education system
At present, Finland ranks first in terms of educational rankings, while "Superpower" America is ranked 20th. By 2020 Finland will be the only country in the world where no subject matter is found in schools. Any school in London has a maximum of 195 children and a teacher for 19 children.
The longest break in the world takes place in Finland too, with children spending 75 minutes of their school time in breaks, with the second being a 57-minute break in New York schools, even if our parents find out If a school gives kids such a long break instead of "teaching" them, then get them out of school the next day. Well, you find interesting that there are only 20 hours of "teaching" in schools all week. Whereas 2 hours a day is just for teachers to increase their "skills".
There is no school in the country for children before the age of seven and there is no regular examination of any kind before the age of fifteen. A math teacher was asked what you teach children, and they said with a smile, "I teach children to be happy and to keep others happy because they can easily solve every question of life".
Take the example of Japan, the third-grade students are taught only one subject and that is "Ethics" and "Etiquette".
Hazrat Ali said: "There is no religion in which there is no literature". I do not know how the Japanese know Hazrat Ali and why we do not know them yet. Nonetheless, the Japanese are currently responsible for its implementation.
One of our friends went to Japan and came to the airport. He also introduced himself that I am a teacher and after that, he was treated there as a president of the country.
Once, Ishfaq Ahmed (late) has to go to the court. He introduced himself there as a teacher. He writes that all the people in the court, including the judge, stood in their seats. On that day I learned that the secret of the honor of the nations is in the respect of the teachers. This is the secret of the development and rise of nations.
In Japan, social studies are not "taught" because it is a matter of learning and not teaching and they are teaching to learn that very well. In Japan's schools, children and teachers organize themselves for cleaning, the whole school engages with children and teachers from 8am until 10am.
On the other hand, you see our Education System
It only consists of copy-pasting of work to make the students like "publishers". You see the sentence that is written in the book, the teachers copy it on the board, the children are asked to copy it again on the notebook, the teachers test the same material which was copied, mark the important questions themselves and Make the paper itself and check it and give you the marks over it.
They decide to fail or pass the child, and parents clap their hands at the result, singing to the children's intelligence and ability, whose children fail, they regret it and continue to criticize their child for "leprosy" and "blunt mind." We put children in the queue for 13,14 years for assembly, and when they finish school, they break the queue and know how to do their work, which is the first thing we learn to do while studying in a big school. Knows the skill of getting it done.
Students spend all the time "Cramming" at school and you won't see anything called "scientist" all over the country because unfortunately science is a thing to "learn" and to experience, and we also "cram" it. "You will be surprised. The first exam of the matriculation class took place in 1858, and the British government determined that people in the subcontinent are half of our intellect, so as we have" passing marks 65. So, people of the subcontinent should have passing marks 32.5.
Years later, in 1860, the passing marks were reduced to 33 for the convenience of teachers, and we too are busy finding the intelligence of our children with these 33 numbers.
It seems that this section of Allama Iqbal's poem correctly interprets the whole situation.
- The branch will form on a fragile, which will be asynchronous, unpredictable.
Our Educations minister and policymakers should have a look over these problems and they should try to resolve them because the children studying in these institutes are the future of this country and we should make our future bright.
